The 4th team continued their winning run with a laboured victory against the resilient 5th team yesterday. In truth, the scoreline flattered to deceive. Despite scoring in the first minute, we were under par for the first half and allowed the 5s too much of the ball.

After going three or maybe four up, the 5s responded with an excellent finish from Dave H which left Arlo with no chance. Half-time beckoned with the score at 6–1. Some stern words from all involved led to an increase in intensity in the second half, though unfortunately without the quality to match.

A rejig saw Jack H (Filch) sacked from his position as striker and sent to the back of the pitch to regain some control. Following this, we took a grip of the game and scored some good goals in the last quarter to leave the final score at 15–1.
