The M4s got back to winning ways against Crewe Vagrants 3s at home on Saturday. We played well throughout the game and aside from some wayward finishing (more on that later), should have been 4 or 5 goals up by half time. As it was, we managed a solitary goal from Matt Cs attempted decapitation which was then bustled in by Albie, Crewe then scored from their only attempt of the half to leave it 1-1 at half time.

In the 2nd half we again peppered the Crewe goal, was it going to be one of those days? Thankfully not, as Tom S set the ball rolling with a debut goal, followed by 2 from Matt C and an absolute worldy from 1 yard out from Rob to make up for missing one or two (ahem) incredibly difficult chances in the 1st half.

Crewe pulled a goal back at 4-1 to ensure a fraught end to the game but we managed to see it out, with the final score at 5-2.

MOTM: Albie, cool and calm with the ball and ran his socks off throughout the game.
DOTD: Captain Rob for magnanimously allowing other people to score the goals for once.
