The opportunity

This is a great opportunity for a Coach with ideas and drive to really set their own mark on the development of our Women’s section, junior players and the club as a whole. Following the planned retirement of our current coach and the addition of two new women’s teams in the last few years to bring us to five in total, we are now looking to create and implement the strategy for the next five years of hockey.

The goals for our five year strategy will include:

· Building strength in depth across the performance squad to deliver sustainable promotion back to the NW Premier league over the next two seasons;

· Reflecting the significant annual cycling of a number of strong junior players (U18), to support that pipeline of talent and turn it into an opportunity as opposed to a challenge to manage each year as players leave for University; and

· To support development ideas amongst the other Women’s section coaches to devise a “Deeside Women” style of hockey to facilitate player advancement through the teams.

The new Head Coach will have the opportunity to refine and add to those goals as part of finalising the five year strategy.

So if you want to be part of a growing and thriving club and really make a difference to a wide range of players in developing your own vision and goals, then this is the role for you.
