The annual general meeting of the Club for the year 2009/2010 will be held at the Pavilion, Tiverton on Wednesday September 8th, 2010 at 8.00pm.
Junior Registration Day
The junior registration day is being held at the club on Sunday 5th September from 10.30 until midday. Existing members will be sent forms the week before, if you can fill these in it will speed up registration on the day. New members can print off a form from the site (coming soon) or these will be available on the day.
International Hockey
Did you know that your club has a chance to see Hockey Olympians take to a pitch in the UK two years before London 2012? Did you also know that ex Deeside Ramblers player James Fair could well find himself in the squad selected to take part?

One of the few clubs for men & women, in the country devoted solely to (Field) Hockey, Deeside Ramblers Hockey Club has its own astro pitch and club house. It is proud of its friendly atmosphere and has been privileged to receive the North West Hockey Umpires award of the Wilkinson Sword for hospitality and friendliness on no less than five occasions.
The club's principle is that it exists to provide games of hockey for members at a level those members want, through a club structure that has a clear direction and a long term viability
This has worked. The men's 1st play National League in Conference North while the 7th were cruelly relegated to North West Div. 10 South. The ladies range is a bit less dramatic but still considerable.

Deeside Ramblers have been made Club of the Year by Cheshire West and Chester Council. At a ceremony last October, John Heath was presented with the trophy by The Mayor of Chester at a presentation evening at Ellesmere Port Civic Center.
This award is a real honour for the club and it is down to everyone's hard work that we were presented with this award over so many other deserving clubs. John can be seen receiving the award in the picture on the right.
